At Home Skincare Solutions: Orange

I love orange... the way it smells....

There is so much more to Orange than its tangy aroma, like VITAMIN C baby! I will tell you that Vitamin C is needed in most of your skincare whether you'd like to have it or not. It's a powerful antioxidant that packs a mean punch of nutrients for your skin. It's one of the most Research-proven ingredients that can be applied to the skin easily. Vitamin C is a water-soluble natural component of healthy skin. When we are young and supple, our Vitamin C levels in the skins outermost layers (Epidermis and Dermis) are SUPPPPER high. As we age these levels go down, then down some more... that leaves us open to UV damage, Pollution acceleration, and dull uneven skin tones.

Vitamin C's skin benefits:

-Evens skin tone

-Diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

-Skin brightening benefits larger than other antioxidants

-Shields skin from environmental aggressors

-(Ideal Ph) Asorbic Acid helps create younger looking, firmer feeling skin, with a more even tone. Due to its properly formulated PH this is ideal for skin's surface defence

How should I use it?

Research shows that high strengths of vitamin C (10% and higher - typically found in targeted treatments or serums) are particularly effective and provide a host of benefits for skin. If your skin looks dull or its tone is uneven, regardless of your skin type, a lightweight liquid is perfect for layering. If you're having issues with stubborn Dark Spots Paula's Choice recommends something a bit stronger and a richer texture.

Lower concentrations of vitamin C are good for your skin as well, providing cumulative benefits in leave-on products such as moisturizers, eye creams, and serums. In fact, research has shown that concentrations as low as 0.6% provide antioxidant and anti-aging benefits to skin. Lower strengths of vitamin C also help enhance the benefits of other youth-preserving ingredients such as retinol and ceramides.

All forms of vitamin C mix well and layer with other skin care ingredients, I would recommend adding a Vitamin C oil to your nightly routine, or adding a serum to your skincare routine. The Skin Transforming Serum by F.A.C.E beauty has a heavy dose of Vitamin C for those of us that need it, and even for the ones that don't. WE ALL NEED IT! The Multi oil Skin food from F.A.C.E beauty also comes in a CBD formula, and a power packed vitamin C formula as well!
